Svay Reing topped the Metfone league last season – and they made history again with their first home victory in the AFC Cup against Bali United last week.
Given the excitement surrounding their success, eyes are drawn to their next Phnom Penh fixture against bottom-of-the-group Than Quang Ninh on Wednesday, 11th of March at 6pm.
Taking place in Olympic Stadium once again, the Cambodian champions will look to grab another 3 points against the arguably weakest team in the group. The Vietnamese contenders have only managed a single point from their opening two fixtures as Bali United comprehensively beat them 4-1 and group leaders Ceres grafted out a 2-2 draw.
The 2020 season has only just begun, but Svay Reing are building on their success from 2019, with two wins already notched up. Their next match is with Phnom Penh Crown on 8th of March, giving Svay Reing a lot of preparation to squeeze in between this domestic game and their next international clash on the 11th.
