R.E.D Promotions Presents: Glamour At The Factory
Get your hands on one of the limited 500 tickets to the hottest event this weekend, while you still can!
Glamour at The Factory is raising the bar for Phnom Penh events. Gone are the days when you could impress by simply putting on an art exhibition, a club night with fantastic DJs, a legendary drag show, an evening of delightful live music or an exotic food festival with dishes from around the globe. This weekend, R.E.D Promotions will do all of these at once. Expect great things.
The festivities kick off at 5:30pm with DJ Shadows of Space. Get in early and enjoy some experimental house while body-paint artists help prepare you to look the part.
You won’t need to worry about getting peckish or making any dinner plans tonight, as R.E.D Promotions have you covered on that front, too. Whether you have your heart set on greasy, guilt-provoking hot dogs, exquisite Greek food or an eclectic array of Asian specialities, vendors Fat Passion and Greek Souvlaki won’t disappoint.
It should go without saying, but we will say it anyway: you really don’t need to worry about getting thirsty on Saturday. The main sponsors Heineken will make sure of that. But they also have support in the form of local favourites Seekers Gin, Cocalero South American Spirit and Blowfish Wine. Expect a wide variety of quirky and delightful cocktails as you rave the night away.
At 8.30pm, the fabulous Blue Chilli Drag Queens will sashay onto the stage for a very special and characteristically head-turning performance. These lovely ladies will be followed at 9.30pm by Gerard Evans, the Detroit-born saxophonist who has been honing his craft for over 40 years. His skills in saxophone, flute and clarinet have seen him perform extensively throughout the US, the UK, Italy, Switzerland and the Dominican Republic. Evans will provide a cool respite between the drama of the Queens and the dance-floor-filling DJs that storm the stage next.
DJ, actress, model and all-round face of the young urban art scene in Cambodia, Marie Thach will take over from 10:30pm. If you haven’t yet had the good fortune to see the charismatic 24-year-old influencer wow the crowd, now’s your chance.
Next up is International DJ Sound Advice. The English-born mixer broke through onto the Phnom Penh scene with a mashup of disco and house from the 60s and 70s, given a modern twist and flavour with some new favourites. DJ Shadows of Space returns to finish up the night and give a new burst of energy just in time before the after party (TBA on the night).
As Ke$ha might say, it may be a night you don’t remember, but it won’t be one you forget.
Glamour at the Factory kicks off from 5:30pm and runs until midnight. Tickets on the door are $10 or in $8 in advance, including a free drink. Get your tickets while you can here.
… Keep your ears open on the night for details of the afterparty!
