Looking for the best spots to haunt this Halloween? Here’s our rundown of where to get your trick-or-treat on.
Don’t have a nightmare this weekend! With Halloween falling on a Tuesday, many bars and clubs are stretching out celebrations into a whole ‘Halloweek’… and here are the best haunts for the occasion.
Thursday
Scary Tiki Party at Samai Distillery
Every Thursday, Samai Rum Distillery opens its doors to the public. This week, the Tiki party returns with a Halloween twist… with food on offer from Roots & Burgers and a bottle of Samai Gold Rum up for grabs for the best costume.

Friday
Pennywise Party at Alchemystery
Alchemy GastroPub becomes Alchemystery for the night as they kick off their Halloween weekender. Enjoy free tapas from 6pm – 7pm as DJ James What starts the party.
DJ AMRO and DJ INEE will also heat up the dancefloor later in the night with a floor-filling soundtrack of deep house and electro. There’s prizes for best dressed: $100 for their favourite and runners-up able to snag $50 or $30 too. They’re advertising for other prizes on the night plus signature Halloween Cocktails to get you in the mood.

Before Halloween at Empire
DJ Sunny takes to the Decks with all things EDM on the menu. Starting at 9pm, the dancefloor will be going strong until 3am

Sharky’s Halloween Party
The cash jackpot stands at $8151, and at 10.30pm there will be a joker draw where one lucky winner will gain the chance to take it all home.
Hosting the party, the B Pure Band take to the stage to provide a rocky soundtrack of current and favourite hits. Happy hour is extended from opening until 11pm and there’s more costume prizes and cocktail specials up for grabs!

Oskar’s Freak Show
This free entry party also boasts free nibbles from 9pm – 11pm AND free shots. There’s 3-for-2 on Bloody Sangria and DJ Bree will start the party with Funk, Soul and Hip Hop Classics. Nora Haidee then takes over, providing House & Techno all night long.

Pre-Halloween Party at 55
DJ Ann takes to the decks over at 55. Looking to cater for groups… or alcoholics, you can grab 3 free Buds/Coronas when you buy 10.

DJ Noma At Sound Club
This Halloween party at Sound Club features DJ Noma (Japan) and boasts a full house every night. Running until 4am, this could provide a lot of dancing and sore feet come Saturday morning.

Saturday
Latin Dance Party
Duplex host a Halloween BBQ and heat up the dance floor with Latin Dance. Felix El Moreno Merlin & 12Me host this Saturday Soiree.

Raise the Dead at Cloud
We’re not going to paraphase this at all, the description from Cloud excites us enough:
“Explore horrific areas. Delve into the depths of your own humanity. A labyrinth of fear and chaos awaits to be traversed. Beyond, in your despair, a graveyard masks other terrors. Is the mad scientist hiding there? An evil gift may be in his hands. Special drinks and more wait to be discovered.”

Enter If You Dare
Club Love wants to know if you’re feeling brave, inviting you to join them both Saturday and Sunday as Jim Beam Halloween highballs are on promotion at 3-for-2. Their costume contest has a bottle of Jim Beam Bourbon for 1st place, a bucket of Cruzan Rum-ble Tumble for 2nd, and a Halloween Highball for third place.

The Haunting in Elbow Room
A special menu of bloody beetroot-based cocktails, priced at $4 all night, are available to tickle and treat your fancy. Arrive in costume for a complimentary cocktail from 8-10pm.

Moondance Z at Tusk House
It’s a triple header as DJ Sequence, Sushi Firas and Yes Peace take to the decks in Tusk house to provide salvation from the Phnom Penh Zombie apocalypse.

Foxy Lady Halloween Party
Here’s a wildcard: over at Foxy Lady Lounge & Bar, enjoy free roast pork courtesy of Dan’s Meat Catering!

Halloween Scaryoke at DJ Guesthouse & Bar
Prizes will be given to the best dressed and best karaoke star. A free drink for performers and free Halloween shots every hour. Multi-instrumentalist Saska Chewan pulls out the guitar, keyboard and fabulous singing voice to lay down the tracks that you get to sing to!

Fright Night at Sokha Hotel
Tickets are $25 per person, and include “Scary Food”, Lucky Draw prizes, face painting, tunes from DJ Vodka and an ominous sounding ‘Live performance…’

Pirate Halloween Buffet Party
Moon Pizza Bar overlooks the city at the top of the Essence hotel. This Saturday, they’re hosting a pirate-themed buffet party for $25 per person.
Enjoy a dinner buffet, free flow drinks, games and surprises and even a welcome gift.

Sunday
Cosplay for Charity: Halloween Edition
Over at the InterContinental Phnom Penh Hotel, this Cosplay event costs $4 per ticket and the proceeds go towards SCADP, helping orphans and providing homeless shelters to the Svay Reang community whose homes were recently destroyed by major storms.

Positive Vibes Halloween Edition
It’s the return of Posit+ve Vibes at Tusk, an event that What’s On Phnom Penh will be covering in full – stay tuned for a more focused look on all the festivities going on here. For now, get excited for 5 DJs from across the world, a swimming pool, an art market, and even FREE BEER 3pm – 4pm.
