Opening Exhibition, 7pm, Sra’ Art, No. 7 Sothearos Boulevard

The 13th edition of the Photo Phnom Penh festival works to create an artistic exchange between Europe and Asia and also within Cambodia specifically while honouring 4 young women from Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.

A 2022 Indonesian horror film directed by Awi Suryadi where 6 students venture into a mysterious village.

Enjoy some funky blues with an uptempo feel from Frank Scarfone on guitar and vocals, Alejandro Tiger on bass, and Adam Lane on the drums. 

 

Frightful Friday Halloween Bash, 7pm Sam’s Bar, St. 460

Get down to Sam’s for a night of karaoke, drag shows, witches’ brew, a face painting booth and pizza and wings until 2am. 

 

Happy Halloween Metal Show, 8pm, Cloud, BKK1

Cloud celebrates Halloween the only way they know how: with a big mental metal night. It all kicks off from 8pm and will see Nightmare A.D., As The Heart Betrays and Doch Chkae take the stage in a very loud way. Entry is $2.50 and includes a free shot. Great opportunity to check out some of the city’s best home-grown (mined?) metal.

 

Mayari Quartet, 9pm, Sunset Boulevard Bar, St. 460

Sunset Boulevard, one of the best live music venues in town, hosts the Mayari Quartet from from 9pm tonight. The Filipino alternative rock group brings a little pop and little of everything else to stage including absolute head bangers from their home country! Entry is $5 and paying up is a great way to support live music in Phnom Penh.

 Nightmare On Backstreet, 8pm Backstreet Bar, St.308

This should be the big one tonight. MonGie Stars is bringing their Halloween themed drag show before Thida Keo, co-owner of Backstreet and simply one of the most glamorous girls/ghouls in town leads a fabulous fashion show! Tunes will be going until the wee hours with DJ Seven and DJ Moto. 

 

What’s.. Something a Little Different?

 

Mix With The Best, 6pm, S Liquor, St. 310

Fever-Tree Cambodia is here to help set off your weekend right with a drinks tasting over at S Liquor in BKK 3. Find out why these guys were voted Cambodia’s number one mixer during the Drinks International Awards 2022 with some Tanqueray Gin and Shackleton Whisky tastings! 

Halloween Haunted House, 3pm onwards, Street 51. 

My Way is going all out this year for Halloween. Usually an island themed bar, restaurant and guesthouse, this surprise venue will become a haunted house for the whole Halloween period from 28th-31st of October. My Way promises a haunted house where you must travel through the corridors of hell, into the serial killer sanctuary and beyond towards the ghost garden and cemetery. You can then creep yourself out in a terrifying panic room where the doors are locked and you will need to find a key to escape! They will also offer prizes for the best costumes, $1 draft beer, $2.50 magic potion and Halloween cocktails by seekers. 

 

Geisha Nightmare: Halloween Party, 6pm Oskar, 159 Sisowath Quay

Oskar brings an eastern flavour to the spookiest of seasons with their evening of geisha nightmares. Dress in the colours of red or black and show off your spookiest, sexiest or sassiest geisha look and remember to whisper “Sada Abe” to the bartenders for a cheeky free shot. Spooky tunes will be lighting up the house from DJ. Tim Coates and DJ Nora.

Sa Sa Art is on a drive to work with more brilliant young Khmer artists and graduates and looking to build deeper ties with artists from across Asia. The gallery needs your help to raise money for the vital work that they do… and today they’re holding a vital fundraising auction. Get on down and show support to grassroots Khmer art projects!

Halloween with Mimi and The Merrymakers, 4pm, Farm To Table, St. 360

For a more lighthearted and wholesome musical time, get down to Farm To Table to enjoy some singalong and slightly spooky tunes, Get tucked into some healthy foods and bring the kids along too! 

Night of The Lizard Queen, 8pm, The Deck, St. 135

The Deck’s Halloween party will be a raucous night of banging live music and truly terrifying jungle juice. Spiked Gravy, Psykic Elektric and Soselo Summer will bring the tunes and all you can drink homemade jungle juice is just $10 for unlimited top ups. Get down there and support live music in Phnom Penh! Also, please remember to not bring your moto. There is not room for it and you might go blind from jungle juice. Plus, you know… can everyone just stop drinking and driving? 

Alli G & The Quilas, 10pm, Oscars On The Corner, St. 104

Enjoy some live tunes from Alli G & The Quilas, featuring Gaby, Will, Leo and Big D Walker at the ‘Best damn bar’ until 1am.

CUBIK HALLOWEEN, 10pm-4am, Perch, St. 282. 

This should be the ultimate sesh tonight. CUBIK is back after a long rest and have picked the spookiest night for some banging House, Techno and Drum and Bass on the 36th floor of Perch Sky bar until the earliest of hours. Tonight they have some of thest DJs Phnom Penh has to offer including: Kaza, Nora Haidee, Nasty, Rowan Steele, In-Tension and resident CUBIK DJ Sequence. Entry is free with drink promos and, oh, a swimming pool…. 

 

BOO!GIE REVOLUTION, 9PM, Backstreet Bar, St. 308

DJ Chill Bill will assist Phnom Penh in getting its boogie on with what is sure to be another amazing show with Ilya Konstantinov and Ross Clarke. The tunes kick off at 9:30 until midnight and then DJ Manlikebrooks will upgrade the boogie to a late night sesh! 

 

What’s… Something a Little Different?

 

Dorsu vs Sundown Pop Up Party. 2pm, Sundown Social, St. 440

If you have had enough of skulls, skeletons and sexy snakes then pop down to Sundown Social for an afternoon of fashion shows and cocktails. The Sundown Collection will include ethical breezy shirts, dresses and a bunch of other merch. DJ Ryu Suzuki will bring you some lo-fi hip hop beats to make you feel like you’re in downtown Tokyo or New York and for when you are all shopped out you can enjoy jugs of Pimms for $10. 

 

Halloween Trick Or Treat at The Night Market, 4pm, Coconut Park

For family, and more importantly, dog friendly wholesome halloween fun then get down to Coconut Park from 4. There are surprise gifts on offer, trick or treat party games, a clown (terrifying or not depending on your personal feelings on clowns) and a freaking bouncy castle.

Halloween Cyclo Tour and Trick or Treat Bingo in Tuol Tom Poung, 10:30am-2pm, Local4Local and Eleven One Kitchen
