We are excited about this, so first things first:
What is Impact Explorer Cambodia?
It’s an online market place and mobile app intending to connect independent travellers (and adventure seekers alike!) with community-based tourism and ecotourism sites in Cambodia.
Sounds intriguing. Perhaps you’re already about to dust off your satchel and get ready to play Indiana Jones as you cascade through beautiful Cambodian sights. Step one of the adventure is attending the launch party on Thursday 20th June and learning all about the opportunities available in this great country. This free event promises to be bursting with activities whilst encouraging us all into unique authentic experiences in rural Cambodia.
Perhaps you’d like to try a taste of traditional Tampuan rice wine (our new tongue twister), take part in traditional indigenous dancing or learn some traditional weaving and basket making, there are definitely some memorable community-based tourism opportunities to get excited about.
The event promises that: “You will have the opportunity to explore Cambodia; going beyond temples through hands-on fun activities throughout the evening.”
This event is being organised as part of the CBT Connect project funded by Development Innovations and USAID.
6.00pm, Thursday 20th June at The Factory, National Road 2. Attendance can be registered via: This form
