LaBrassBanda World Tour Lands in Phnom Penh
The celebrated German band plays one hotly anticipated gig in the capital – with CSP Mothership as supporting act
German group LaBrassBanda has a highly addictive folk flavour, brewed in Bavaria and tempered with brass, reggae, punk, gipsy, jazz and even techno.
Bursting onto stage barefoot in lederhosen and t-shirts, the brass-brandishing seven-piece conveys in an instant that theirs will be a set to remember. From the stirring harmonies and reggae rhythms of “Indian Explosion” to the gloriously upbeat “Zehnerlfuxa”, these are songs that simply compel you to dance.
Safe to say, this will be a rare musical experience here in Phnom Penh.
Over 12 years, 10 albums (one, Europa, was a huge hit in Germany and beyond) and even a Eurovision Song Contest entry under their collective belt, the band have amassed a huge loyal following all over the world. Since 2017, they’ve been exporting their sound to just about every corner of the globe, with gigs all over Europe as well as the US, Australia, Thailand, Zimbabwe and even Siberia.
… And now they’re coming to Cambodia for one day.
On Tuesday 5th March, LaBrassBanda land in Phnom Penh to play one gig in Cambodia at Hops Craft Beer Garden & Restaurant. It’s their only Cambodian date before continuing their multi-continent tour.
What’s more, they’ll be preceded by local legends CSP Mothership, whose vintage Khmer rock’n’roll sound adds another dimension to an already awesome gig.
For a treat this unique, tickets will likely fly off the digital shelves – so don’t leave it until the last minute! Grab yours in advance (and save $2) through LastTicket, here.
