This is How We Brew It: Cambeerdia Tour
Experience a beer tour of Phnom Penh as Cambeerdia provides a hop on and off trip around the craft breweries of the Cambodian Capitol!
It’s easy to overlook craft beer alternatives when it’s only 50cents for the local beers. But with microbreweries trending across the globe, Cambodia has some excellent beers brewed in Phnom Penh you may not have tried yet.
Cambeerdia is a new company to Phnom Penh, about to start their venture with a four hour drinking discovery tour within the city.
‘Beer is the universal language’, or so suggest Cambeerdia. Luckily we speak their language well.
Where Do You Hop On and Hop Off?
The tour includes 14 tastings, transportation between breweries, snacks and water.
Alongside all the delicious beer sampling, guests will get a behind-the-scenes look at the city’s biggest craft beer brewery.
Kingdom Breweries
Cambeerdia offers up a third alternative for visiting Kingdom. Whilst we absolutely love the value of the week day tours (1pm – 5pm) due to the free bar at the end of the tour, the other much loved event is the first Friday of each month. ‘TGIF’ features live bands and/or DJs, food options from great Phnom Penh eateries and also an unlimited bar. Yee-haa.
On the Cambeerdia tour, you get to go on a guided tour through the Brewery to learn all about the production process.
The welcoming staff will present you with a mixed paddle-board of their creations. We loved the wheat beer and IPA styles.
If you fall in love with their creations, you’re in luck! More and more bars around the city are beginning to stock their beer. Long After Dark in Toul Tom Poung recently threw their own ‘TGIF’ event (last Friday of the month), suggesting that unlimited beer nights may just become a weekend norm in the city.

Hops Craft Beer Garden
Next up, it’s off to Hops!
This craft beer garden comes set with a Salsa-dancing chef. Billed as the first independently owned international beer garden in the country, Hops adheres to the 500-year-old German purity laws when making their beer. Apart from the water, all other ingredients are imported from the best areas of Germany to create the perfect blend.

Botanico Wine & Beer Garden
This charming location is a short walk from the busy streets around Independence Monument, but is another oasis within the urban jungle. Once you walk along the narrow path and enter the garden, you’ll feel at ease and ready to kick back and try one of their delicious creations in comfort.
If their tastes tickle you, there are regular live music acts playing in the venue each week that are worth a re-visit for.
