The team sorts through abandoned clothes at Factory.
What’s the Event?
“The idea of Worship Your Clothes is to raise awareness about where our clothes come from. To do this we will create sculptures showing the key elements that make up our clothes.” – Laura François.
The project will take piles and piles of unfinished clothes left behind in a factory closure and turn them into three huge art sculptures.
To do this, a group of sustainability experts from Singapore, led by Laura François of Fashion Revolution Singapore, have teamed up with viral epic photographer Benjamin Von Wong to realise the project. Laura hopes the result can bring attention to the origins of our clothes.
This is the time of year when everyone gets inventive with clothing as they creating or designing costumes for Halloween. For that reason we could say that Worship Your Clothes have chosen an appropriate time for their incredible project.

Benjamin Von Wong is known for his gorgeous conceptual photography, visualising environmental issues.
What You Can Do
Tucked away in the corner of FACTORY Phnom Penh, a huge abandoned warehouse complex turned co-working space and creative hub, the team have been busy all week sorting through bags of clothes and constructing the sculptures. On Friday and Saturday there will be a live photoshoot to document the structures before they are later dismantled.
The team are looking for volunteers to help with sorting, building, and even modelling for the photo-shoot. If you think you would like to help out, or even just see the impressive sculptures, you can visit the warehouse any day this week between 9am and 5pm. The team also provides a free lunch for any volunteers.

You can help turn this into something beautiful….
