Viva La Colours’ Breathtaking Stunts Has Audience On the Edge of Their Seats
A brand new show has opened at NABA Theatre, and it’s even more spectacular than the last.
Bringing together incredible acrobats, dancers, singers, magicians and quick change artists from every corner of the globe, NABA Theatre’s new show is a sight to behold – and best of all, it’s free!
Highlights include The Icarian Gamers, two Ethiopian brothers famous for their gravity-defying acrobatics on the TV show Spain’s Got Talent. For July’s show, the pair collaborate with Dance Stars, a wildly entertaining Colombian dance troupe, to blend Latin dance and acrobatic precision to astonishing effect.
At the star-studded opening of the show, this act garnered thunderous applause and rave reviews from the 1000-strong audience. Kem Sreykeo, who came third in last year’s Miss Cambodia pageant, praised the “brilliant and breathtaking choreography, executed with a perfect precision.”
Russian double act The Wonder Changers was another big hit. The pair specialise in mystifyingly quick costume changes and, for this show, perform with Taiwanese magician Poker, adding to the spectacle.
̎It was mind‐boggling to see how she performed those costume switches in seconds! I will definitely come back and bring my family and friends to watch this unbelievable act,” said audience member and rising star Doriko.
As the name suggests, the show is a celebration of colour, with vibrant costumes and performances synced with 3D mapping animations that soar above the stage. This is a big, bright, bold show, befitting of one of Cambodia’s most magnificent stages.
Viva La Colours, 7.30pm, Wednesday – Sunday @ NABA Theatre, Naga2. Tickets are free, on a first-come-first-served basis.
