What To Do THIS Weekend

It’s that time again! Whether you plan to kick back or kick off, here’s our pick for the weekend ahead

What’s On Late

Get on down to Cloud for Hip Hop Takeover, where a live wall painting will be happening in the garden by The Sokheng (courtesy of Bong The Gallery), along with the sick beats of Dj Mofo – Kreative Kingz (Australia), plus a special set from Felix El Moreno (8pm, Cloud, St 9).

What’s On Stage

If you’re sick of toxic men raging about an ad about razors, head over the Cloud for their Feminist Voices: Angry Edition night. A spoken word focusing on all issues of feminism (gender, sexuality, race, class, ability, or any intersections of identities), with the second half dedicated to angry rants (7.45pm, Cloud, St 9).

You love the band, you love the place, it’s The 99 Boyz at Duplex! The musical magicians are back to treat your ears to some decades-old chart songs that are sure to get the party going. DJ MonChi is spinning the decks right after, it’s sure to be another banger of a night at on Golden Street (9pm, Duplex, St 278).

What’s On Late

Or if you’re in the mood for something a bit more out there, head on over to 5 Drunk Men for a night of deck spinning, Positive Vibes: Space Edition, an exhibition into outer space to explore the sound of the extraterrestrials, featuring DJs E.X Tasty, Jakintosh, MOUDY, Sushi Firas جوّ Jaou and Taube. Free entry and free shots throughout the event (From 2pm, Level 3A, Sisowath Quay).

Not sure what to expect? Here’s how the first ever Posit+ve Vibes went down…
