Yeah, free pizza. We know. Awesome.

Che culo! celebrates Wing Wednesdays with an offer of $3 chicken wings every week – and it’s on the same street as Il Forno, so foodies have more reason to flock to this area for mid-week munchies.

Music Vibes

Showbox is a regular ex-pat haunt, as their open-mic night kicks off every week from 8pm. Top tip – they also give out free beer from 6.30 – 7pm, worth arriving early for! The drink offerings continue with $2 wine all night.

Zear, round the corner from Showbox, is a local Khmer favourite. With live music in the evening followed by a DJ set. This slick venue is fairly upmarket, when we last popped in they tried to upsell our order for a beer and a cocktail to the $45 steak and wine package! Perhaps a place to impress! We were offered a 10% for making an effort to speak Khmer, which was humbling.

Sporty Sporting Sport

Score bar, in BKK1 is known as a hotspot for all things sport. As long as the time-zone differences aren’t too craaaaaazy, you’ll be able to find coverage of all your favourite teams and sporting personalities. With a vast array of screens using various feeds, your best chance to tune in is here. It’s often worth messaging them ahead of time to confirm that they’ll show whatever you’re interested in, whilst the bigger events always pack out and create a great atmosphere.
