Where to Watch the King’s Birthday Fireworks
The King’s birthday means one thing: spectacular fireworks over the Mekong.
Happy Birthday King Norodom Shiamoni! This can only mean one thing: FIREWORKS. Expect spectacular displays over the Mekong on Saturday 14th May.
You’ll be able to see the impressive show from anywhere on Riverside, so pick a spot on the top floor of one of the many bars. This is great excuse to take advantage of the FCC’s excellent happy hour cocktail list – or check out super-classy rooftop lounge Le Moon, on St 154.
Want to watch for free? If it’s not raining. bring a picnic rug and settle down on the grass outside the Royal Palace for a chilled open air view of the fireworks.

The King’s Birthday celebrations don’t end today – it’s also an extra long weekend, with public holidays on Monday and Tuesday.
