Friday

What’s On Screen

LBJ, starring Woody Harrelson, will screen at 6:30pm over at The Flicks. The film follows the journey of Lyndon Johnson to becoming President after the assassination of JFK.

What’s On Stage

Get your nostalgic rock on from 8pm with a Metallica and Black Sabbath Tribute night at The Hard Rock Cafe. The Hard Rock will live up to its name by providing a forum for head bangers throughout the Penh. After all the Bieber we are subjected to, banging our head against anything seems inevitable.

You may not know what Rockability or Honkatonk is exactly, but you know it sounds fun. Justin Frew will introduce you to his funky blend of tunes at Duplex from 9pm.

What Else

It’s Beer Night at Cloud! From 7pm you can pay 10 Bucks and get all the Kingdom and Indochine beer you can drink!

Saturday

What’s On Screen

At 8pm, META House will screen Clash. The Academy Award winning feature film is set in 2013 – two years after the Egyption Revolution.

What’s On Stage

From 8pm, LF will be hosting Rhiannon Johnson as she plays tribute to the legendary Amy Winehouse, with a special performance on what would have been her 35th Birthday. Check out our recent review of LF’s new project here.

At the same time The Chi~Town Players and their special electric blues return to Alchemy. The Chi-Town group is made up of musicians from California, England, Ireland and a front man from Chicago. Chi-Town will get the night going with some high energy soul.

The Sock Essential take the stage at Cloud from 8:30 pm. The exciting new duo explore music in 5 languages and are not to be missed.

The Grass Snake Trio will grace the stage over at Duplex from 9pm. Mark Chattaway, from The Kampot Playboys, teams up with Joe Wrigley and Antii Siitonen and brings you some Irish, folk and even a little cajon.

From 10pm Dr. Wah Wah takes his regular set at Bouchon. Enjoy some great cocktail offers and some banging background beats.

Good Times Bar  is hosting a Simon and Garfunkel night from 10pm. Antonio and Leo will be bringing the harmony with 2 acoustic guitars, a harp and soothing vocals.

What’s On The Menu?

Feeling a little ‘raw’ from Friday night? Well ‘roll’ out of bed and get yourself some Sofitel sushi. Japanese Chef Katayama prepares a fresh selection of sushi and sashimi with fish imported daily from Japan from 11:30am.

Sunday

What’s On Screen

META House is providing the means to lie back and nerd out this Sunday evening. From 8pm they will screen an excellent collection of short films from acclaimed cult director, David Lynch. The screening will include Six Men Getting Sick, The Alphabet, The Grandmother, The Cowboy and The Frenchman and Lumiere.

What’s On Show

META House is still hosting the solo exhibition by Sin Many. Many is a self-taught artist whose work looks at humanity, relationships and how these interact with the world.

What’s On The Menu

As always the best treat in town is available all Sunday afternoon. The Sofitel Brunch starts at $60 for brunch and $89 for unlimited Taittinger Champagne and Chateau Le Grand Verdus White & Red.
