Green Book screens at The Flicks from 5pm.  Peter Farrelley’s Oscar winner follows the trials of an African American pianist travelling the deep South in the 1960s  with his Italian American heavy. If you have somehow missed this then this may just be the way to kick off the weekend.

DJ Tashi takes the decks at Pontoon from 9pm. The Japanese DMC Champion will provide the sound-track to all your bad decisions for the evening. t.

What’s On Screen

The lovers screens in The Flicks at 8pm. This cooky rom-com esque movie follows a couple once again falling in love after both enjoying extra marital affairs.

 

What’s On Stage

Joshua Chiang takes stage at Cloud from 8pm. The veteran solo artist will bring his blend of indie rock to the Music From The Cloud Series.

Garage Pub is hosting the return of the Uncomfortably White Brothers. The boys will be joined by Clay George from 7pm.

What Else

Mad Monkey celebrates World Oceans Day from 6pm. The rowdy, yet socially conscious, Hostel is screening Finding Nemo from 6 pm and hosting an ocean themed trivia night from 8pm.

Combat Sambo is on again at Olympic Stadium from 12.15pm. Shake off the hangover cobwebs and learn to throw around a dissident like only a soviet wrestler can.

To celebrate the return of famed local tattooer Tantai, Bong The Gallery is hosting an Ink and Drink Party. Enjoy cocktails and some Asian flash tattoos.

Get motivated for the week ahead by the fantastic and always timely Cambodian Spring. The award winning documentary screens at the Flicks from 12pm.

 

What’s On Show

The big one today is the opening of the KBach Arts Space at The Factory. This is a project we are particularly excited about and really hope to see everyone get down there.
