La Chandeleur, also known as Crêpes Day, is a religious holiday marking the beginning of the new harvest and is celebrated every year on the 2nd of February. Phnom Penh is embracing this occasion with many venues on-board with sweet treat delights throughout this weekend.
Friday 31st
The first event is a family-friendly dinner or dessert at The Moon Terrace, as they offer a bumper feast of three sweet or savory pancakes with two drinks for $15.

Saturday 1st
If crêpes aren’t your jam, then fear not as Ministry of Cat has the perfect alternative. For $12 you can mix and match a vegan-friendly, homemade waffles plate with a huge array of indulgent toppings, with everything from sweet syrups, fruits, ice-cream to savory nuts. The set includes plate of waffles, all toppings of choice, fresh orange juice and a coffee of choice.
Plus for an extra $2, you can add a glass of Prosecco or a mimosa.

Sunday 2nd
The Ministry of Cat brunch runs again, but there’s also another two crêpe choices today.
The Penh House & Jungle Addition Hotel offers a crêpe and galette brunch on the first Sunday of each month, coincidentally and yet perfectly timed for this occasion. Their decadent plates are priced between $4 and $8, and booking is recommended as the lush rooftop fills up fast!
