Just back from touring Japan. Geography of The Moon bring their rocky and funky 80/90s vibe to Voodoo tonight.

Get your weekend started by letting the creative juices rather than just alcoholic ones flow. This four hour stroll is an easy way in to the world of photography if you are a beginner or already an enthusiast. The Royal Palace and Riverside area in general is perfect to mess around with the settings on that camera you never learned how to work.

The Blue Souls bring their swinging 60s style out this evening with a modern twist. They are then followed by DJ Chill Bill who takes from 10pm until late into the evening. 

21:30. Wind Up Mice, Oscars On The Corner, St. 104

Phnom Penh’s newest six piece quirkiest act launch their third official show this evening at ‘the best damn bar.

What’s On Show 

19:30, Trevor Lock. Speakeasy Theatre, St 244

Trevor Lock makes his long awaited return to Cambodia after gaining more and more international acclaim. So get down to Speakeasy tonight for an evening of high level professional standup comedy. 

What’s On Late 

17:00, Grand Bash with Raysoo (Love International), Coconut Park Building, 

It’s opening weekend for the newest dance spot in town with doors opening from 11am and DJs starting at 5pm until sunrise. Here is the lineup for this weekend: Cyril Grouvel, Keimo, Raysoo, Rowan Steele and S.J.M. Enjoy free entry all night. 

 

20:00, Bassac Street Festival, St. 308

Kicking off with DJ Haruna from 8pm, this will be the place to be this Saturday. From 9pm Japan Guitar Shop will showcase some tunes from their latest album followed by DJ Larry Zinc from around 10pm. Finally, Cambodian rap sensation Vannø takes the mic from 11pm. The whole night is brought to you by Back Street, Mama Wongs, H Club and Can Can. 

 

20:00, Vinylmania, META House, St. 240

Tommy Schulz, Nick E. Meta, Andy Freak and Antonio Velazquez will bring out their best vinyls for some house and techno favourites with an old school twist. 

 

22:00, Explorations, The Cage, St. 308

Get down for a whole late night of electronic music featuring Jessie and Hansley from Faceslap.

This 2014 love story follows a German student in Phnom Penh who falls in love with both the post Khmer Rouge chaos of Cambodia as well as falling hard for a local bar girl only for the two to fall victim to a positive result of HIV.
