Friday 

What  can we actually do?

16:00-00:00, Tattoo Event, Margarita Cocktail Bar, St. 308

All weekend long you can get down to Margarita on 308 and get a free ‘minimal’ tattoo if you buy two cocktails. At least that will be something to remember this lonely weekend by. 

 

18:00, Khmer New Year Celebrations, Malevich, Sothearos Blvd

Friday and Saturday host a weekend of KNY celebrations at Malevich with buy one get one free offers on cocktails!

 

19:00. Love to Love you, Donna Summer, META House, st. 228

Why not watch this portrait of one of the music world’s most bad-ass ladies and probably not get shot by a five year old with a semi automatic super soaker? 

 

19:00, Antonio and The Playful Minds, Tin Hat, St. 123

Enjoy some cracking live music as always at Tin Hat from 7pm. There will be rock and soul classics and some free draft beer available between 6-7pm.

 

20:00, Friday Shake with DJ Snowdaddy, Garniche Lounge, St. 454

Hit up one of TTP’s finest cocktail lounges, reside beside Zando, for some sipping and dancing until the early hours with DJ Snowdaddy. 

 

21:00, Randy Seidman, Club Love, St. 278

One of the world’s biggest electronic artists comes to Phnom Penh this evening, all the way from his native Los Angeles,  to sesh Club Love into the early hours of the morning. 

 

22:00, Move with DJ Haruna, Backstreet Bar, St. 308

Backstreet will likely be the funnest place to be this weekend with DJ Haruna bringing a mix of fun beats from house and disco to RnB. Expect Thida, the owner, to celebrate KNY in the biggest way imaginable. 

Saturday 

What can we actually do?

 

13:00-16:00, Saturday Live Band Party, Highground Sky Bar TK, St. 335

If you’re really looking to hide from the super soakers then you could head out to Tuol Kork where Highground Sky Bat have a live band kick off from 1pm so chill all afternoon long with some tunes and cold beer. 

17:00, Khmer New Year Celebrations, The Deck, St. 135

There is live music all weekend long at the Deck to celebrate Khmer New Year. Tonight, it is Khmer Blind Band taking stage from 17:00. On Sunday you can enjoy the legendary Miss Sarawan and then the Laro Bustaka Boys.

19:00, Vartey Ganivia, Backstreet Bar, St. 308 

The big one tonight is likely the punk icon of Cambodia, Vartey Ganivia, taking stage from 7pm at Backsteet Bar on 308.

22:00, The Fender Benders, Oscar’s On The Corner, St. 104

The band takes stage from 10pm with  Kenny Smith, Phil Javelle, Greg Beshers, 

Chris Hilleary and Adam Lane. 

 

22:00, Hyperspace, The Cage, St. 308 

A late evening of experimental beats featuring Monkey King, Alexx Kann and Fugui. 

 

Sunday 

What can we actually do?

 

09:00, UFC 300, Villa Martial Arts Gym, Bar and Hostel, St. 476

Not much today other than to dry yourself off from the weekend and get down to Villa Martial arts gym and cafe to watch UFC 300 on the big projector from 9am.
