Here are the top things happening in Phnom Penh this weekend!

Friday

What’s On Stage

Live music @ Botanico, 19:00, Botanico Wine & Beer Garden, St. 29

Swing into the music this Friday night with the Danny Healy Swing 3. The upbeat jazz trio will have you dancing away the misery of the work week and stepping into a sweat, smile and music filled weekend.

Montra!, 22:00, Oscars on The Corner, St. 13 & 104

Get down to the ‘best damn bar’ in town to check out the new rendition of Oscar’s house band. Formerly the  KnE, now it will be Montra rocking you into the wee hours.

What’s On Late

On Air with Manlikebrooks, 21:00, Backstreet Bar, St. 308

James Brooks will be stepping out of his regular role of kicking teeth down throats in Kun Khmer clashes and will instead be smashing the decks at Baskstreet. Manlikebrooks will be bring his mix of Disco and 90s in an evening that he tells What’s On Phnom Penh will be ‘pure vibes.’

Saturday

What’s On Stage

For those wanting a chill Saturday evening with beautiful music then this is the one for you. From 7pm Botanico is hosting an evening of soulful acoustic music meant to get you up and singing!

Japan Guitar Shop, 19:30, The Deck, St 135

A double set of tunes will be provided by Japan Guitar shop at the deck from 19:30. Enjoy some rock, blues and hip hop all mixed up from a Phnom Penh staple of a band.

Latino’s Saturday Night, 20:00, CanCan, St. 308

Move to the tunes in the sexiest way that your hips will allow for a seductive night of Latin dance with Hector, Andres, & Daniela.

What’s On Late

This is the time of the weekend to let loose, sweat out the week and make some decisions that will still be making you sweat next week. DJ Haruna will be bringing some Pop, Latin, Hip Hop and old school classics to keep you moving until the early hours.

What Else

Phnom Penh Bike Hash, 13:45- 22:00, Arey Ksat ferry terminal

This is the October edition of a monthly meet up for anyone who fancies a big cycle in the country side, likely drenched in mud and then smash a load of beers with your bike buddies. For the more sophisticated among us, this is a chance to indulge over the weekend. Le Phnom’s head chef. Martin Becquart, promises to prepare extravagant courses and pair them with a range of Alsatian wines (I checked: there probably won’t be dogs). It is 42 USD per person which also comes with unlimited Alsatian desserts and chocolates.
